Writing

In addition to acting, Ava is a writer/director. Her work often takes on a dark-comedic and whimsical tone, centering oddball/misfit characters in all of their vulnerability. Her shorts Kitty Kitty and Cowards have gained attention in the online-indie-film sphere, featured on NoBudge and Directors Notes. Cowards was also screened at The IFC Center in New York. As for her work on the stage, her solo play I Hear So Extremely Loud at the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival received the Encore Award. She's currently working on her clown/comedy solo-show Voluntary Humiliation and completing her first feature screenplay.
