Writing
Ava's work as a writer/director often takes on a dark-comedic and whimsical tone, centering oddball/misfit characters in all of their vulnerability. Her short films Kitty Kitty, Thank You, and Cowards, short documentary Tabby Tobias One Meatball Aloysius T. McKeever Sebeck Junior and web series A Person Named Universal Love, have been featured in online-indie-film spheres such as MUBI, NoBudge, and Directors Notes. Cowards was also screened at The IFC Center in New York.
As for her work on the stage, her solo play I Hear So Extremely Loud at the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival received the Encore Award.
Ava is in pre-production for her directorial debut feature Angel Wanted, and the script is a second-rounder for the 2025 Austin Film Festival. It's a dark high school comedy produced by Undertone Films.
